The Bobby R. Larkin, Sr. Charitable Association, Inc began in 2006 as a small committee of family and friends with the intent of establishing an educational scholarship.
The scholarship was endowed in 2010 and is administered by College Now of Greater Cleveland. The scholarship is in honor of the legacy of the late Bobby R. Larkin, Sr.
The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to youth with an average GPA who have been accepted at a 2 year, 4 year accredited college or vocational school. The mission of the association is to continually support the scholarship.
The scholarship is available to Euclid High School seniors. Application is made once per year through the College Now advisor, who is located on site at Euclid High School. There has been 13 recipients thus far.


Bobby R. Larkin, Sr. was born on February 26, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio. Bobby was the fourth child of Lillian and Willie Daniel Larkin. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a baptized member of Morning Star Baptist Church for over 40 years. He served on the Usher Board Number One, participated in the Living Cross Production, and volunteered in the Feed the Homeless Ministry.

He graduated from East High School in 1970 and married his high school sweetheart, Leevator Jackson, on his birthday, February 26, 1971.

Bobby loved his family unconditionally and was very proud of his children. He was extremely outgoing and had a love for laughter. If you needed a lift, he always had a joke, riddle, or a friendly hello. He always was ready to give advice whether you wanted it or not. Bobby was an advocate for healthy living and had a passion for exercising. Some of his hobbies were softball, football, swimming, mentoring youth, spending time with family and friends, traveling and eating.
